Since early 2023, Lova has been crafting bold, original dishes inspired by our Brazilian roots and shaped by a deep passion for flavor.

Lova was founded by chef-owner Nathalia, pulling from her Brazilian heritage and time in Michelin-starred kitchens. Lova follows a simple philosophy: start with quality ingredients, make as much as possible from scratch, and let creativity guide the menu. From bread to cheese, most components are crafted in-house, giving our dishes a depth and character that set them apart. It’s a labor of passion that allows us to serve something truly unique.

Our menu evolves constantly, inspired by what’s fresh, local, and exciting in the moment. The result is a brunch experience that feels vibrant and ever-changing — a reflection of our team’s curiosity and commitment to bringing new flavors to the table.

  • Lova is located at Haarlemmerdijk 182, 1013 JK Amsterdam, in the center of Amsterdam between the Jordaan and Westerpark, a short ride from Amsterdam West.

  • We’re open seven days a week, Monday to Sunday, from 9:30 to 16:00. Our kitchen serves food until 15:00 on weekdays and 15:30 on weekends.

  • We always hold space for walk-ins at Lova, but we recommend booking in advance to avoid a potential wait. Weekend brunch can get especially busy!

  • Yes. We always have curated vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes on the menu. If you have specific dietary requirements or allergies, please let our team know so we can guide you to the best options.

  • Yes. Lova is both kid-friendly and dog-friendly. We welcome families and well-behaved dogs, and we have a cozy, relaxed atmosphere that suits both. We have a changing table and high chair available.

  • Yes. We’re an all-day breakfast and brunch café, so you can join us for breakfast, brunch or lunch throughout our opening hours.

  • Our menu is brunch-focused with a Brazilian twist. We combine familiar brunch dishes with flavours and ingredients from our Brazilian roots, and most things are made from scratch – from breads and cheeses to spreads and sauces.

  • Yes, we offer limited outdoor seating when the weather allows.

  • We offer takeaway for drinks depending on how busy the café is. Ask our team and we’ll let you know what’s possible.

  • At Lova, we aim to create a social environment and encourage disconnecting to be in the moment with us. As a result, we are a laptop free space.
