Lova — Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy
PART 1 — TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Who we are
Lova is operated by H182 BV, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 87123371, VAT number NL864210012B01, address Haarlemmerdijk 182, 1013 JK Amsterdam. You can reach us at hello@lova.cafe.
These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of lova.cafe (the "Website"), including making a reservation or purchasing a gift card through it.
2. Using the website
You must be legally able to enter into a binding contract to make a reservation or purchase a gift card.
You agree to provide accurate information when booking or purchasing.
We may suspend or restrict access to the Website at any time, for maintenance, security, or other reasonable business reasons.
3. Reservations and deposits
Reservations made through the Website may require a deposit, paid via our booking and payments partner, Tebi.
Deposit amounts, and our cancellation and no-show policy, are stated to you during the booking process and confirmed again in your booking confirmation email. That stated policy governs your specific reservation.
Tebi processes the payment on our behalf under its own terms and conditions, which apply to the payment transaction itself (see Section 5).
4. Gift cards
Gift cards are digital, purchased through the Website via Tebi, and delivered by email after purchase.
Gift cards are valid for 2 years from the date of purchase. This is stated at the time of purchase and in your confirmation email.
Gift cards can be redeemed at Lova, Haarlemmerdijk 182, Amsterdam.
Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash, except where required by law.
5. Tebi (our payments partner)
Deposits and gift card purchases made through the Website are processed by Tebi, our reservations, point-of-sale, and gift card platform. Tebi's own terms and conditions and privacy policy apply to the payment transaction itself — we encourage you to review them at the point of payment. We are responsible for the reservation or gift card itself; Tebi is responsible for processing the payment securely.
6. Intellectual property
All content on the Website — including the Lova and PdQ names, logos, photography, recipes, and text — is owned by or licensed to H182 BV and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce, or use it commercially without our prior written permission.
7. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded under Dutch law (e.g. for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
Subject to that, our liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Website, a reservation, or a gift card is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant booking or gift card.
We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays/failures caused by events outside our reasonable control (force majeure), including issues with Tebi's platform itself.
8. Complaints
If something's gone wrong, please contact us first at hello@lova.cafe so we can try to resolve it directly. If we can't resolve a dispute together, EU consumers can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
9. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules that entitle you to bring a claim in your own country of residence.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on the Website at the time of your booking or purchase applies.
